Who are The Dutch Nut Group?

The Dutch Nut Group is a specialist importer, exporter, trader, roaster and packer of a wide range of peanuts, luxury nuts, kernels, shelled nuts, flavoured, chocolate and sugar coated nuts, dried sub-tropical fruits and rice crackers. D.N.G. is based near Rotterdam and operate in over 40 countries. Their purpose built factory exceeds all E.U. quality requirements and is both B.R.C. and I.F.S. accredited.

A Brief History

  • Welco Foods was originally formed in 1995 to act as an import agency.
  • In 2000 Welco launched a range of innovative bulk packed bar snacks under the Welco Bar Snacks brand.
  • In late 2003 Welco formed a trading relationship with The Dutch Nut Group. The Welco Bar Snacks brand was re-launched in re-sealable buckets..
  • In 2004 Barfly Barbites were launched as a single portion alternative.
  • In 2008 The Dutch Nut Group purchased a stake in Welco Foods.
  • In 2008 Barfly Healthybites were launched in order to capitalise on the ever growing trend towards healthy snacking.
